At GALLERY Z - SMALL PICTURE SHOW, Thursday, November 10th through Friday, December 23rd, 2016. Opening Reception Thursday, November 17th, 5-9PM. Closing Reception Thursday, December 15th, 5-9PM.

An extensive Small Picture Show will be exhibited at Gallery Z, with the intent of providing a wide opportunity for gift-givers to purchase and give art at especially affordable prices. This salon-style group exhibition will be up from November 10th through Friday, December 23rd, 2016. Gallery Z will hold two receptions: an opening reception Thursday, November 17th, from 5 to 9PM and a second reception on December 15th from 5 to 9PM.

An eclectic abundance of art works will be selected from Gallery Z's very extensive stable of numerous local, national and internationally renowned artists. The art works will range up to fifteen inches by fifteen inches or smaller, and priced up to just $300. Visitors can choose from about 200 art works in assorted media that will be on display, consisting of paintings, sculpture, fine ceramics and pottery, photography, assemblages, little boxes, glass, mixed media and fine handmade jewelry.

In addition, Gallery Z will be chock full, as always, of small inexpensive and distinctive handmade gift items to discover, so that gift-givers can find presents for everyone on their lists: handicrafts from various countries such as leather-bound journals, porcelain and wood boxes, decorative jewel-encrusted patchwork pillow covers and carved wooden masks, sterling silver jewelry from Taxco, a renowned silver mining town in Mexico; Armenian handcrafted items such as handpainted handfired bowls and red glass pomegranates in 3 sizes; along with many unusual stocking stuffers, art greeting cards and fun "art" socks with replicas of famous paintings for men and women alike.

Gallery Z also offers "Dreamy Venice in the adjacent "Italy" room to complement Federal Hill's Italian cultural atmosphere. Here you will find a large selection of luminous handmade small Murano glass: gifts (paperweights, ornaments, vessels, perfume bottles) and Murano glass jewelry (pendants, necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, watches, hair clips), all personally chosen and imported from Venice by Gallery Associate Linda Kamajian in a sparkling rainbow of translucent colors. These are set amidst fine art paintings and photographs related to Italy or by some of Gallery Z's established Italian-American fine artists.
